I do soil tests for building houses, pools, factories etc. I work near Melbourne. I started Civil&Soil in 1996. I have insurance as required to be a registered civil engineer in Victoria working in the building industry. I mainly do “soil tests”, which are technically a site investigation and classification according to AS2870. I work manually with a hand auger, crowbar, shovel and pincers. I can also do geotechincal soil tests for landslde risk (EMO) sites, footing probes, soil samples, percolation tests, land capability assessments (LCA), bushfire attack levels (BAL), wind ratings, spot levels etc.
